Vergeleken met vorig jaar zijn er in 2022 3,7 miljoen meer Nederlandse accounts op Social Media. Dit is vergelijkbaar met het aantal inwoners in de provincie Zuid-Holland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Deze stijging is te verklaren doordat Nederlanders vanaf 15 jaar op meer platforms actief zijn. Waar Nederlanders in 2016 gemiddeld actief waren op iets meer dan 3 platforms, was dit in 2022 meer dan 4 platforms (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newcom.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/2022-NSMO-Basis-Rapportage.pdf?vgo_ee=yth4oYXu%2BO3LjiCjK9%2F3jdzcnO4HAC32L%2BfkRynC8ks%3D\">bron<\/a>). Dit is een stijging vergeleken met 2021, toen de gemiddelde Nederlander op minder dan 4 platforms actief was.<\/p>\n<p>Op het moment maakt de gemiddelde Nederlander gebruik van iets meer dan 2 platforms op een dag. In 2016 maakte Nederlanders dagelijks gebruik van \u2019\u2019maar\u2019\u2019 anderhalf platform. Deze stijging is er omdat er meer tijd wordt besteed aan Social Media. Nederlanders zitten gemiddeld 107 minuten per dag op Social Media. Maar verliezen wel langzaam gebruikers. Zo verloor WhatsApp in 2021 100.000 gebruikers en facebook 400.000 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coosto.com\/nl\/blogs\/social-media-gebruik-2022-cijfers-statistieken\">bron<\/a>). Veel van deze mensen zijn overgestapt naar alternatieven zoals Telegram, Signal, Twitter en Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>Vooral het platform TikTok is de laatste jaren hard gegroeid. Op het moment heeft het platform 1,6 miljoen gebruikers, wat een stijging van 91 procent is ten opzichte van 2021. De verwachting is dat deze stijging de komende jaren zal doorzetten. Net zoals het algemeen gebruik van Sociale Media (<a href=\"https:\/\/thebigstory.nl\/social-media-in-nederland-in-2022-tiktok-groeit-enorm\/\">bron<\/a>).
