Een van de opvallendste verschillen tussen deze twee giganten is de manier waarop ze hun marketingbudgetten toewijzen. Waarbij de een al jaren de kerstman heeft overgenomen houd de ander zich bezig met de grootste sporttoernooien ter wereld als de super bowl en de Champions League.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coca-Cola staat bekend om zijn grootschalige marketingcampagnes, waarbij ze enkele van &#8216;s werelds grootste beroemdheden inzetten en spectaculaire reclame-evenementen organiseren, zoals de beroemde kerstadvertenties. Dit heeft geleid tot indrukwekkende marketingkosten, die regelmatig de miljarden dollars overschrijden.<\/p>\n<p>Pepsi daarentegen heeft zich onderscheiden door meer op gerichte marketingstrategie\u00ebn te focussen. Ze richten zich vaak op popcultuur en muziek en werken samen met jongere beroemdheden en influencers om een jonger publiek aan te trekken. Dit heeft Pepsi in staat gesteld om marketingkosten te besparen in vergelijking met Coca-Cola. Ook gebruikt Pepsi de grote wedstrijden in de sportwereld om zichzelf te laten zien. Zo zijn ze sponsor van de Halftime show bij de Super Bowl en van het bekendste clubvoetbaltoernooi de Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>In de Instagram post is te zien dat Coca-Cola over het algemeen meer budget heeft voor marketingactiviteiten. Dit is ook meteen terug te zien in de trendlijn die te zien is. Deze trendlijn gaat over \u201cinterest over time\u201d op Google. Ook zijn er grote gebeurtenissen over de jaren heen getoond die ook direct invloed hebben op het budget en de trendlijn.<\/p>\n<p>Het verschil in marketingaanpak weerspiegelt de respectieve merkidentiteiten van beide bedrijven. Coca-Cola benadrukt traditie en tijdloosheid, terwijl Pepsi zich richt op vernieuwing en jeugdigheid.
