Due to Vietnam\u2019s colonial past, local legends like \u201cVan Lang,\u201d which can be translated as the\u00a0land of the tattooed, disappeared. Stories like these were demonized by colonizers. Artist Kwinnie L\u00ea has started a project titled \u201cVan Lang\u201d in wich she explores old tattoo traditions with the aim of keeping these traditions alive
