During the Feminist Festival in Wageningen a group of female students organised for the first time a 5km run for women and gender minorities. \u2018We started with around 75 applicants, and today – the day of the run – 132 women will join us\u2019, says Anna Ravizza, one of the organisers of the Feminist Night Run Club. During the Feminist Festival week in Wageningen, women are the focuspoint. They still have to deal with inequalities in the workplace but also in their free time activities. \u2018During sports we get cat-called, we get harassed. Playing sports isn\u2019t as safe and equal as it is, in particular, for white men\u2019, says Ravizza.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The run was the closing event of the Feminist Festival but Ravizza hopes to organize it again soon. \u2018I don’t want to wait a whole year to run with these amazing women again.’<\/p>\n\n Listen to the audio-report on the event.<\/p>\n
