Amidst of the second feminist wave in the 70\u2019s, a group of activist and enthusiastic women squatted a big house in the middle of Amsterdam. From then on, it became known as the Women\u2019s house, with only one rule: no men allowed. This environment created an open space for women to have more substantial discussions than they were expected to have at home. The Women\u2019s house was a source for many feminist initiatives, one of them being the feminist film collective Cinemien. Cinemien focussed on collecting and distributing feminist films. This year, Cinemien exists 50 years. Reporter Jesse went back in time, to see how feminism in the film industry progressed over the years.<\/p>\n
