A story of resilience and hope — how education and community support help refugees rebuild their futures. Four years ago, Noof Bawazi and her family arrived in the Netherlands after fleeing war in Somalia. Today, she is a student at the Hogeschool Utrecht (HU), pursuing her studies and working to inspire others who share a similar journey. In our conversation, Noof spoke about the challenges of adapting to a new culture, learning a new language, and finding her place in Dutch society — but also about the kindness she found in the people who helped her along the way. Her story shows how determination and support can turn a difficult beginning into a hopeful path forward.
