Het meer is sinds 1979 opgenomen op de Werelderfgoedlijst. Het meer van Ohrid is al ongeveer 3 miljoen jaar oud en heeft een oppervlakte van ongeveer 350 vierkante kilometer. Het huis van de familie Robev is een absoluut hoogtepunt van de traditionele stedelijke architectuur in Macedoni\u00eb. Het is een perfecte illustratie van de karakteristieke Ohrid-stijl met als extra kracht een uitstekende indeling en interieur. Het theater is meer dan tweeduizend jaar geleden gebouwd. Het werd pas in de tweede helft van de vorige eeuw ontdekt. Sinds 2001 worden er weer drama, musical en andere dingen gehouden in het theater. Het is een rustgevend plekje en je hebt hier een mooi uitzicht over het meer. Het is niet precies bekend wanneer de kerk gebouwd is, maar documenten suggereren dat dit v\u00f3\u00f3r 1447 moet zijn geweest.
