Vrijwilligers uit de buurt halen het eten op bij lokale leveranciers en koken er een lekkere maaltijd van. Dit is elke keer weer een creatieve uitdaging: ze weten namelijk van te voren niet wat de opbrengst van de dag zal zijn. Iedereen is welkom om gratis aan te schuiven bij het diner. Buurtbuik geeft mensen die het minder breed hebben een steuntje in de rug. Naast lekker eten en voedsel redden, draait het bij BuurtBuik ook vooral om de gezelligheid en verbinding tussen bewoners.
