In the film industry, no country can compare itself with the US. India has a huge business, but it is mainly domestic. In Europe, we have the same with the French movies. But of all countries, you could argue that it is no one that performs so high above their expectations, as this small, pride one, in the north of Europe.
With a population of 5,8 million people, Denmark is having a movie being shown at the most highly regarded film festivals in Europe, almost every year. Their viewing numbers are way higher than what most other countries of their size could dream of.
In the first episode of two, you´re going to hear about how the business goes around and how an artistic industry within a country, would not survive without the money, given by the state.
