‘Small sustainable initiatives are just as important as bigger ones’

Sustainability plays a more important role every day. Research shows that more and more consumers are willing to choose sustainable items over non-sustainable ones. While everyone is doing their own part to improve our planet, there are organizations that take it a step further. Take, for example, the Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week, a huge event focusing on sustainable fashion for a better planet. Smaller organizations also try to help by organizing events, like the Sustainable Market on the Uithof in Utrecht. Here, organizations like the Green Office HU come together to inform students about how they can lead more sustainable lifestyles.

Our editor, Sascha, visited the event for an audio report. He spoke with Sakura, spokesperson for the Green Office, who explained why small events are just as important as bigger ones.
