Cooking for the neighbourhood, a better recipe for integration

Ronnie is living almost 30 years now in Holland. Ever since he arrived, he tries to share his culture and tries to make the Dutch people fall in love with the Surinamese culture. But how does he do that? In this interview Ronnie explains how he shares his culture and tells us about the Surinamese cuisine.

 

There are living a lot of population groups in Suriname. Around ten different population groups all live together in Suriname. Ronnie tells us about the influence this different population groups have on the Surinamese cuisine and what those different population groups contribute to it.

 

 

So, today Ronnie will prepare roti for his neighbours. He says that all of his neighbours love it. But what actually is roti and how do you eat it?
