Finding autonomy back while balancing the energy acces

Over 1.7 billion people in the world are living off the grid and the number is growing every year, according to the Conversation Institute. There are a lot of personal motivations behind living this sustainable lifestyle. But it’s also globally an important asset for the electrical grid. For example to improve the electricity acces in the world but also the improve renewable energy sources in the general energy system. Not every country  has good acces to electricity, living off-grid can lead to a more balanced energy acces in the whole world. Eva Ririhena and Keagh Allen are living off-grid and facilitate  off-grid glamping. Reporter Elisa Lo-A-Njoe is experiencing this way of living.
