Europe’s populist shift to the far-right. How safe is our democracy?

Across Europe, parties that are leaning far right are on the rise. Many of these parties use populist ideas, claiming to speak for “the people” against political elites. In the Netherlands, this shift is visible in the growing debate around migration and national identity. This reportage looks at how the rise of populism connects to nativistic ideology and how that fits in our demcracy.
