We all know that sport is good for your body and your mind. It will get you in a better condition, more mussel power and mostly a better night of sleep. Sometimes it can be hard to keep practicing the sport that you like while you also have a full schedule for university and social activities to attend to, a lot of people stop playing sports because they don’t have the time or money for it because of those things.
Although it cost money and time, playing sports has positive effects on your brain and on your health. It will reduce your brain productivity so your mind will be clearer to keep working on schoolwork and it will increase your memory and your problem solving with 20 percent then it was before, so it will only be better for students to have enough movement during the week. Research says that young adults should have a high-level movement 3 times a week for 30 minutes, this could for example be something like running or playing tennis, and 2 days a week for 30 minutes, low level movement like biking or walking.
Thereby playing sport is not only good for your mental health but also makes your body healthier. The risk of getting for example hart problems or getting depressed are much lower if you have enough active during the week. Besides playing sport it is also important to eat healthy and have enough rest, especially when you play sport at a high level and practice it a lot of times. Joost de Jonge tells about how he’s coping with playing a high level sport and how it affects his life.
