On the 7th of March it was International Women’s Day. A day to celebrate womanhood but also to speak out against the struggles of FLINTA* people worldwide. FLINTA* is an in Germany invented term that has grown internationally to represent a wider range of people including women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, agender people and other identities that are marginalized under the patriarchy. First invented in West-German Women’s spaces in the 1970s, it now became the binding community behind the 7th of March protests. Also, in Wageningen, where an interview with the protests organizer – Marina Muñoz Spanu – showed: Women’s Day is more than just an isolated struggle.
