In the cultural conflict between Ukraine and Russia, art plays an important role. While Russia tries to suppress Ukrainian culture, Ukrainian artists who fled are fighting for their identity and freedom, even here in the Netherlands. The Dutch government has made 200,000 euros available to help these Ukrainian artists. This report tells the story of Ukrainian artist Julia Ilkiv.
