When you think of a queer space, a bookstore might not be the first thing that comes to mind. Savannah Bay is a bookstore that has played a huge role in Utrecht’s feminism and queer history since the 70’s. But times are changing and as more bookstores are facing financial struggles nationwide and having to shut down, having a niche one has proven to be both a blessing and a curse.
